Keying the Template
Before we can use our template to create content videos via API, we have to specify keys to our template scene and layers first.
Keying enables us to select or target a particular element in our template when we generate content via API.
Scene Keys
Scene key serves as the unique identifier of our scenes which we can use later to specify to the endpoint which scenes we want to put in our content. Scene key should be unique across the entire template.
To assign key to a scene, click the scene in the Scenes panel on the left. On the header part of the scene, you'll see a button with an HTML tag icon. Clicking it will open a popup for you to specify and save the key you want to assign.
Keying option will only appear after you set the content as a template via Templating option as discussed on the previous page.
Layer Keys
Layer key is similar to scene key but designed to marked or designate a specific layer for later selection. Layer key should be unique in a particular scene and you can use the same layer key but on a different scene.
To assign key to a layer, click the button with an HTML tag icon inside the Layer item in the Scene panel. Clicking it will open a popup for you to specify and save the key you want to assign.
